Jama Pitman

Jama Pitman is Senior Vice President, Chief Development Officer at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals. In this role, she leads the Company’s Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Quality, and Portfolio Management functions. Ms. Pitman joined Deciphera in 2015 and has over 20 years of industry experience. She has successfully led regulatory teams in supporting Phase 1 to Phase 3 drug development programs at both emerging biotechnology and established pharmaceutical companies. She has contributed to drug development programs intended to provide new therapeutic options to patients with cancer, including, gastrointestinal stromal tumors, multiple myeloma, prostate cancer, thyroid cancer, and ovarian cancer. Additionally, she has been a key contributor to the development of drugs to treat patients with non-oncology diseases such as hepatitis B and C, hereditary angioedema, Fabry disease, Hunter syndrome, and Gaucher disease. Ms. Pitman received her B.S. in Microbiology from the University of New Hampshire.
